a good looking piece and an interesting find - this Reg. is dated 13th November 1875..........   I do have the Kew picture and it's a good quality image, for a change, and if Fred would like this posted I can arrange  -  just let me know.

Thank you for showing this, Chris.

It's a Heppell design that I have never seen before,  so any pics (including the design representation, please, Paul) are most welcome.

I see that Jenny Thompson,  page 18, describes the design as a 'plate or bowl'.

Fred.

looking at the original factory drawing you can see where Jenny Thompson found her description, and this exact wording is repeated in the National Archives Register.

Very similar to this George Peabody 5 inch plate as seen in slacks book page 90, i think it's the same one as the outer chips line up as per the picture, found in a Birmingham charity shop with loads of other pressed glass with similar labels and numberd stickers, i can only guess donated by the glass museum?. I wonder if it's missing a cup?.

Thank you for showing the design representation, Paul.

It will be interesting to see if other shapes from Heppell's RD 295919 come to light.

Just for reference, the 'George Peabody' plate was from Henry Greener's  RD 236921, registered on 7 December 1869 – Parcel 7, and there was, indeed, a matching cup. (There is also a sugar basin in that design).

Fred.
