I will, he was quite thrilled to see it. You do have real treasure there. It's a beauty, enormous, perfect and very rare. :)

Hi Sue,thank you for that.I will be going back in  just over a weeks time so i will see it for the first time in years.I`m really excited too. I find it quite amazing that one of these fantastic glass artists (Ysarts) would have made and handled this all those years ago.
Cheers Paul.

Hi again, just taken some more photos of the vase while in the UK.I am still unsure if it is iridised, quite hard to tell with the blue. What i can tell you that it changes to a dark purple colour in a dimmer light. Also can anyone advise on the colourway of this, cannot seem to find it on the Ysart Glass site.Hopefully not too many photos posted.
Thanks Paul.

Don't fret about the number of pics, they're fabulous. :)

There's an effect in the middle of the crizzley bits that looks like a big flower in the middle of it. ;D
I can't tell from them if it's iridised or not. You need to get the light reflecting off the surface to detect it, and it might be very subtle.

Hi Sue,thank you for your reply on this piece again.I tried looking really closely but found it really hard to correctly say if it is or not iridised, more than likely it is not.Like most glass,an expert would need to have it in their hands to give a true indication.
Just thought i would mention that it weighs just over 2kgs,it might interest someone.
Cheers Paul.

It does look, in the photograph, to have a golden shimmer around the place where the light hits it, but that could be the colour of the light rather than an effect of the glass.
