Nope, only collect Mdina from 1968 to 72 and dating items did not start until either late 72 or 73 (never seen a 72). There must be oodles of examples with a 7 though from the 70s but ten years later any number of conventions may have changed.

I automatically use the bar across a 7 myself, I only notice it when it's not there.
I haven't noticed one not being on Mdina that I can remember. But I don't pay a lot of attention to marks and '79 is a bit late for my interest too. :)

I have just trawled everything downstairs. I found a cube with a '75 on it.
The 7 is missing the cross bar, (as I said, I really don't pay any attention to marks ;D ) but has an extra line dropping down from the top on the left hand side.
I can't say if they're all like that or not.
