Whitefriars glass wrought iron frame
« on: August 13, 2017, 05:29:30 AM »
Morning all,
I have just purchased a piece of Powell dark green, shown in Whitefriars Glass, the Art of James Powell and Sons, illustration 21 item 2.
sadly, it is missing the wrought iron frame.
Does anyone have one of these for sale. The center of the frame probably has a brass insert, with hand made thread at the top. Female, as the thread on the brass attachment to the glass stands proud.
Know this is a long shot, but worth a try.
Would add an image, but the site will not let me post same.

This imaged upside down, otherwise balancing on the fitting.

Your pics are nicely posted to the board, but sadly, they don't blow up when I click on them.

I'm still on xp, can't cope with anything more complicated, I think we tried the 8 thingy but it just crashed everything and we had to revert.
Paintshop pro works for me. There are step by step instructions for that in the link.
I don't use any of the others, so I'm afraid I cannot help with them. I'm a total technosaurus.
I do appreciate not having to practise my yoga though, I'm not up to it today. ;D

You can add 4 images per post! Just click on the "more attachments" bit under the browse box, and another browse box will appear.
(I learned what little techie stuff I do know, in order to post here on this forum. Glass drove me to it.  8))
