Victorian drinking glass #1
« on: September 25, 2017, 03:58:38 PM »
After last week's crash course in 19th century drinking glasses, I've found two more contenders gathering dust in another charity shop today (insert comment about buses here). I've split them up as they're slightly different but I'm thinking early Victorian? Would also like to know what they were likely to be used for? Wine, sherry, port?
This first one has had the pontil ground out, and has a small inclusion in the glass in the foot which you can see in the pontil pic
Sorry they aren't uploaded. Can't resize pictures on my phone
Thanks

As per Lustrousone's reply to my other post, dimensions for this glass are 5 inches tall, and 2 3/4 inch width bowl at its widest point
