Vase Identification & Value
« on: September 30, 2017, 04:44:13 PM »
Hello there,

I recently picked up this purple and white vase in a local charity shop because it really appealed to me. It looks similar to Murano to my inexperienced eye, and the glass has a beautiful translucence to it. I also think that the rough patch on the base indicates that it was hand-blown but am unsure on that? I'd love to know a bit more about it as the shop was unable to give me any detail at all, but it's a lovely piece of art and I'd love to be able to credit the maker if at all possible. Are my gut instincts correct or is it just a relatively contemporary mass-produced item? Either way I adore it so it's really only for interest's sake.

Thanks in advance for any help!
