Unusual Victorian Glass Dump with Year Date 1882
« on: November 28, 2017, 07:36:33 PM »
First Victorian glass dump with a year date that I have seen. Maybe not that common. A bit of a strange shape.

Height just under 5" and weighs 1737gm.

I have had a few with names / dates / comments written in them ( eg '1885', or 'Bed Time'), but they are certainly rare.  No idea which glass factory (factories) they were made in, though.

I'm not an expert of dumps, but with most paperweights, a date is not a guarantee of the age of the object.
