Topic: Webb type vases.

8 inches tall, Webb was my first thought but the cutting feels and looks very new, little wear to the base, the glass is quite thin but rings like heavy crystal, no pontil mark and the bases are uv reactive, any ideas please

Your 100% right i'm sure with Webbs. Deco mark.

Was a set of 5, 4 damaged and recycled.

Certainly a known T/Webb colour combination - uranium and clear, plus the deep 'sundae' type of shape, although granted the intended use of yours Keith may well have been a vase  ..............    the factory are also well documented for putting out pieces minus a backstamp.

No way a vase, too fragile, a blank was blown and made into many patterns, i see it all the time thats how i know a glass is from the same manufacturer, the blowers were taught a pattern and made  thousands, it would be easy for someone trained to make the same shape with coloured glass. I do think though that stamp started at a certain point in time and before the glass did not have one.

I'd agree with Chris. Lemonade or Lager/Beer glass and almost certainly by Thomas Webb - a known and documented blank for a number of different cut designs.

  thanks both, Nigel you should know by now that I never part with anything  it was a Christmas gift, the wrapping 'fell off'
