Purchased a large lump recently shopping in wales and have tried to do some research into it  the nearest pieces i have come across are Murano glass but nothing definate so thought id see if anybody can help?
The piece seems to have good age scuffing to the base makes me feel maybe mid century and is 9" - 5" and 3.5kg approx.
I think it is gold leaf on cobalt blue inside and clear hot worked glass outside the gold leaf is intersected with green red and blue roundels of colour not sure how this is done..
Never had anything like this before any help would be happily received..

Sorry nobody's said anything. I looked at the title and expected to be able to reply and say; "Contemporary Chinese", then I saw it, so i stayed quiet.
I do not think it is contemporary Chinese from TKMaxx. ;D

Perhaps from Murano but that is really only a guess, are the coloured blobs placed on top of the gold leaf?

John

Just a stab - have you tried Japan?  Some interesting 1970's hot worked stuff from there
