Kilner Brothers bottle
« on: February 12, 2018, 01:16:37 AM »
I purchased a Kilner Brothers bottle today. At least I believe it to be one. The only markings are on the bottom ,which are K B. Can anyone help me with finding the age of the bottle?

This is what is called a Hamilton bottle (sometimes also called a torpedo bottle) and will be from the Victorian era, Hamilton bottles were popular from the 1840's and for a few decades (I have a few myself, as well as codd bottles and Victorian / early 20th century stoneware ginger beer bottles).

KB is Kilner Brothers, yes, a bit of history of them:

Hope that helps
