Anyone who missed out on the eBay auction

'Planet Oranj' are selling a Riihimaen Stellaria vase by Nanny Still for $175.00 - with the good GBP exchange rate at the moment I may be tempted myself!!

SO the Hintakirja tells us the auction value in Finland is 60 Euros and the winning bid on e-bay is 114 pounds. It's the new whitefriars!

The prices of the better pieces have gone through the roof just lately. I keep looking at my Tynell collection and thinking how much it's now worth and it's scary!

Ivo that is a very good point.

Is there anyone (on GMB) who attends auctions in Finland or Scandinavia regularly who can tell us what this type of vase goes for.

I am very interested - enough to go on a buying trip if the prices are right .... LOL

I do know that a lot of Finns bid on the Finnish glass on ebay UK. They always bid more than Designlasin prices.

Well I suppose it makes some kind of sense for the really good pieces.

In fact I remember when I was eBaying that was the case (although USA was the strongest buyer), same with good Czech, it would always find it's way back home

There goes another plan up the spout!!

You can follow price development on Tradera.se I suppose, it is the venue for swedish glass - though I'm not sure if that is valid for the fins too.
