Try getting a very soft black lead pencil and rubbing it lightly across the signature area.  See the effect in the photos I have posted.

Make sure that you take  your photos so no reflections occur on the relevant areas.  I find the sky is best for that nice even light - even a cloudy day does fine.  Flash always gives unwanted reflections.

Think this might be Selkirk glass and the signature for Paul Miller. I have a paperweight which i believe to be Selkirk and the signature seems to match up.

His style as well...

I have recently noticed the use of opalescent glass in some Selkirk vases.
It's not something many studios did use. It might be worth checking to see if there is any "fire" lurking within it. It might help confirm a Selkirk diagnosis.

But every Selkirk vase I've found has been clearly marked and dated, in small, neat, capital letters. I haven't found one with an artist signature on it though. Just marks, years and labels.

Had you noticed that before?
I wonder if this is more confirmation that opalescent glass found in a Studio piece might be a form of tentative "tell" for Selkirk?
It's a hypothesis I'm currently working on. 8)
