Sowerby or Greener Purple Marbled Creamer
« on: May 08, 2018, 06:09:25 PM »
A purple marbled glass creamer . Decorated with 6 different floral panels. I know its either Sowerby or Greener, marked with a date lozenge which cannot be read. Its also got a trade mark which is also difficult to be sure as little bits of glass frit stuck inside of base.
Date lozenge looks to be a Sowerby shape one, while the surplus glass around the handle is more Greener like.

Roy, I think that this 'beaded loop and floral panel' design is by Henry Greener, RD 383640, registered 19 July 1882 - Parcel 16.

I haven't seen  creamer in this design before but I have seen oval dishes (clear and purple marbled), a circular plate, and an 2-handled oval dish which seem to be in the same design. The purple marbled dish has a nice clear lozenge surmounted by a clear Henry Greener '1st lion' trademark.

Here a some photos for comparison.
