Hi All.  Been researching this vase for a while now.  Found in the North West of England I originally thought it might be Scandinavian origin but after much searching found no results.  Then I found similar vases made by Caithness designed by Domhnall OBroin - so thought I could be on the right track, but as yet still nothing that seems to fit especially the colour.  Can anyone help id?

The vase measures best in imperial measurements - height is 8.25 inches, diameter at base is 2.75 inches and it tapers towards the rim which measures 2.5 inches and it weighs almost 850 gms.

Any help much appreciated

Not Caithness, as you said the colour is wrong

Caithness cylinder vases had ground and polished rims, can't see yours clearly but guessing it is hot finished. With that brown Hadeland might be a possibility.

Yes the colour and shape look very good for Hadeland.  See the link below for an example (different colour but very similar shape).  I've not been able to find anything though with the same height (8.25 inches) - the only examples I have found so far that give dimensions give a height of 7 inches.
