PART 1. ID? Help please
« on: July 19, 2018, 12:03:32 PM »
Hi,

I’m new at this message board, and a novice paperweight collector, mostly
paperweights I find at local markets and thrift shops. Often cheap Chinese
paperweights, but every now and then a little jewel pops up.

Could anyone ID the following 2 paperweights?
I wonder if they are of the same origin?

Both paperweights have some age and wear, and are clearly not new.
Also both of them, although very different in design, have exactly the
same setup; a ground up to halfway of the dome, in the middle a controlled
bubble deeply sunk into ground. From the bubble sprouts a flower (A)
In both paperweights, the glass has a greenish hue.

A
has a rough pontil scar, and a diameter 8,5 cm x height 8,7 cm

(read PART 2. to see second paperweight)
