Old Murano Vase - Any Idea of Maker?
« on: July 22, 2018, 02:43:52 PM »
This vase is about 8 1/2" tall and 7" wide. Flattened on 2 sides. It is clear with streaks of gold inclusions. There amoeba like blobs that are blue with random bubbles. The gold is either pronounced or not depending on the viewing angle. Round polished pontil. I believe it has some age. Any idea of maker? Thanks

Looks more like studio glass than Murano to me

Thank you both for responding. I believe it is more Murano than Studio. In the first example Rocco lists it appears the blue blobs have similar random bubbles. The vase looks much nicer in person than in my photos. I would certainly be happy with Barovier. Perhaps I can find a similar shape somewhere now that I have a clue.  Thank you both again.
