Probably modern crystal goblets
« on: August 09, 2006, 03:52:59 PM »
I usually look things up before I post them here, but I know I'll never be able to find these!

I think these three goblets are modern, but the stems are so unusual, serrated and sharpish.  In a cross section, the stem would resemble the Mercedes badge, I hesitate to say triangular because that's not right.  Hmm...is there a word for what I mean?

I thought someone might recognise them...but if not, it's ok, because I'm going to use them (tonight probably   )

It's odd how the stem, foot and bowl don't really match...but then I like that.    :D

Hi Max,
I believe your goblets were made by Cristal D'Arques and the pattern is called "President". Hope this helps!  :P

Crystal D'Arques?    That name fills me with dread!   Thank you Lenore, I've found a photo on replacements.com.  It's a good glass though, and I've enjoyed using them.  Well spotted Lenore! xxx
