« on: August 05, 2018, 07:19:20 PM »
Hi, could anyone help me identify this vase please. I think it is a Sklo union vase. Its heavy, measures 9 inch high and 4 inch diameter. It has a birdbath base. Many thanks.

It can be Jiří Zejmon, Rosice. Pattern number: 1292.
His photography is confusing (clear glass is difficult to photograph).
You can compare it here.

Daniel Muriel . [Kristal Poesie]

Hi Fontanazul. Many thanks for you reply. The pattern is very similar. Yes clear glass is very difficult to photograph. My vase measures 4 inch diameter at the top and base. The vase you have suggested looks to be wider at the top but the pattern is very similar. You have been very helpful though and I'm convinced I've been looking in the correct direction. Just need to keep looking. Thank you. 😊

Hi Janet,

Just to mention the Italian company Fidenza produced a very 'similar' vase! - the majority seem marked, although not sure if this was always the case.

An example can be seen in the below link......

Here is also a link to a previous thread discussing the Italian lookalikes.......

Hi Greg,
Thank you!  That's solved my query, my vase is a Fidenza Vetraria vase made in Italy between 1960 to 1970. The links you gave are very helpful and interesting. I'm still unsure whether it is a copy of a SU vase or whether the original mould was sold to the Italian Company so will continue researching. Many thanks for your help. 😊
