I must admit I always thought that the ball stopper on the range of decanters & bottles detracted from the piece .. it always appeared to me that the decanter or bottle was a wonderfully artistic piece of glass topped with something that was just bland and very establishment looking.  I agree the spikey stopper is much more in keeping with the overall look.  Ive no doubt they are probably more time consuming and I imagine more expensive to make but I think its worth it .. :)

Spikes tail upwards hopefully, they're open ended. :)

 :D Yes but you know where you are with a bit that sticks up !!! Balls cant always been relied on , and are prone to slipping out of ones hands.
But each to there own .................... Im pleased in a way that the mark wasnt eu...  it may have affected the value post brexit !!!  :o
