Dating Mdina glass bowl
« on: October 07, 2018, 06:40:55 PM »
Good evening! First of all, can I just say, how fantastic this form is. I've learned so much reading various different posts. This only fuels my current glass obsession.😁😁😁

Anybody could help me to date this gorgeous Mdina (hopefully genuine) bowl I luckily picked up at a car boot sale today please? Is it a recent piece or not? I can't find any similar online. Many thanks 😁, Petra

You are most welcome.
It's nice to find I'm instrumental in cheering somebody up. That's cheered me up. ;D
The strapping is really well done on this piece. Achieving "random" in a manner that looks good is a lot harder to produce than random strapping that looks a bit "meh".
I'd make it look "meh", no matter how hard I tried. I don't have any talent, even if I were to develop the skills. ::)

Ha ha, brilliant, I wouldn't like the meh one either 😂 ;D

Btw, I have one more vase I found in the car boot today, will post it later, hope nobody minds me flooding this poor forum with million questions! 😉

Questions are what keep the forum going. ;D
We just ask that you don't "flood" the first page with more than 4 requests a day, because that means other folks' queries vanish over onto the next page and don't get found by the folk who might be able to help.
