Heavy uranium green bowl - ID = Galliano Ferro
« on: August 24, 2018, 02:53:53 PM »
Heavy uranium green bowl with dark red insert in base and enclosed swirled bubbles. 2.7kg, diam 16cm, 6cm high. Bought at Dutch car boot sale so possibly Dutch. Must be pre-war and is vaguely similar to Copier’s Serica pieces of late 1930s though can’t find it in Complete Copier book. A friend says her grandmother had something similar.

Any help with ident would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the board. A picture in daylight and a base shot would help but I suspect it is Murano and by Galliano Ferro

Thanks very much!

I have also found similar objects on Pinterest. Any idea about date? Late 1930s?

Later, the company was not founded until 1955
