? Czech art glass??
« on: October 02, 2018, 03:39:14 PM »
Hello, I was very lucky today as I picked up this stunning vase for £2 in our local charity shop. Any ideas on a maker please? Is it Josef Hospodka for Chřibská Bohemia??? Many thanks in advance, Petra 😉

I think you're right that it's post-war Czech. The other possibility is Skrdlovice/Beranek -the colour is right for them. However I don't have the various books so hopefully someone with greater knowledge will be along to give you a more precise answer. It's a great find and lovely piece though!

Pretty sure Chribska, not a shape I see that often.

A more common Chribska shape in the same colours:

I would also say this strikes me as Chribska, rather than Beranek/Skrdlovice. I should say I'm quite new to this area, but from the knowledge gained so far the design just doesn't look quite right for the latter.
