Can someone tell more about the origin and date of this vase.

Hello,

The mark on your vase is not a signature or makers mark. In french we call these 'cheveux' or hairs, not to be confused with haircracks, it is a result of the moulding process, is perfectly acceptable but sometimes, in my experience, frowned upon by purists.
