Orrefors Glass Bowl
« on: October 15, 2018, 04:38:54 PM »
Orrefors glass bowl belonging to my mum, who wants rid of it. She got it as a present, about 1984ish, as a present after she moved back home from Sweden, and since then it sits on the windowsill collecting dead moths :P
It measures 5.5" in diameter and 3.5" in hieght, and has no chips in it.
I tried to get a picture of the signature but it is pretty difficult to get a clear shot, so i put up the clearest i could get.
I can make out "Orrefors", "S,P", and what looks like, "4303.131"
Any help is very much appreciated and thanks in advance.

Hi, the SP could perhaps be Sven Palmqvist? ( designer for Orrefors 1928-1971. Died 1984 )
There could be a mismatch re the dates!

Hi, thanks Scott13 for your reply.
Thanks for a name to google.
The bowl could have been made earlier, my mum just recieved it as a present when she came home from Sweden in 1984 from her old boss. She didn't know if it was bought new or a re-gift, and she was faaar too polite to ask. Sorry i should have been a bit clearer.
But thank you again for a name

Thank you SveziaJonas.
I googled and found the design is the Princess Crown... I honestly never saw it as a crown, i thought it was a fancy ash tray  :-[
Thank you very much for the help
