Walter Furlan 1997 "Omaggio & Brancusi" Glass Sculpture
« on: November 30, 2018, 04:14:39 AM »
In 2001 we purchased a 1997 original glass bust signed by Walter Furlan in Murano.  The bust is of a woman and the inscription is titled "Omaggio (Tribute) & Brancusi."  It appears to be a close resemblance to "The Muse" (1912) sculpted by Constantin Brancusi, although the features are clearer than The Muse.

Being clear glass it is very different that the multi-colored sculptures made famous by Furlan.  Wondering if there are other clear glass sculptures by Furlan.

Also wondering if we can be referred to a source/person who could give a general estimate of current value?

Furlan was born in 1930.  Is he still alive and whereabouts?
