Hot-worked cased cobalt blue ashtray/dish with folded rim
« on: December 11, 2018, 03:50:17 PM »
Hi I know that's there's a lot of these freeform dishes produced in Murano, Czech and elsewhere and that tying down a maker is very difficult. However this has a very distinctive base with cavities surrounding the base (producing a lens effect), the pointil is highly polished.
It is hot-worked with folded rims. It is 8 inches in length and just under 3.5 inches at the highest point.
I'm leaning towards Czech myself, but I'm interested if anyone has any leads..

Thanks!
