Dark amber footed bowl with applied prunts - Hoglund?
« on: August 14, 2006, 04:58:45 PM »
Hiya, I bought this today - it's unsigned unfortunately but the glass is exactly the same shade as a signed Eric Hoglund slab I bought a few weeks ago (from the same shop incidentally).  Could it be 1960's Hoglund/Kosta?  I've not seen anything exactly the same from the books I've looked in or the research I've done this afternoon on the internet but it's very thick and heavy at 1350kg and feels right when compared side by side to the slab (I'm often wrong though!)...  any ideas anyone?  TIA

seems the pontil mark is ground out but not polished - which is not how any of my Höglund pieces are finished....

Thanks Ivo - yes the pontil is etched looking not polished - what's your gut feeling re: country of manufacture to give me a direction to carry on looking?
