Help with vase ID please - ID = Peceny candlewax Hermanova
« on: February 14, 2019, 03:07:37 AM »
Hi there Glassmessages and friends  :D

I'm pretty new to the glass world. Over the last year I have picked up several pieces from car boot sales and thrift stores. I picked this one up yesterday from a charity shop. It's around 25cm tall and has s good weight to it. If anyone can help me to identify it then that would be fab!

Hope to hear from you,

Antony

Hi Antony,

It looks to me like a Czech Hermanova 'candle wax' vase no. 20245, designed by Frantisek Peceny in 1974, page 123 of Mark Hill's book Sklo.

Hi Penelope,

Wonderful, thank you.

Lots of information there and all spot on. I'll have a look at the book too, nice plug  ;)

This could be quite addictive as I have quite a few pieces. Will post another later on today.

Thanks once again,

Antony
