Hello,

I'm new here, so if I'm in the wrong area, please... be gentle...  :)

I have an old and very beautiful bottle (wine/alcohol?) which states "Made in Italy" and has what appears to be a crown sitting atop a heart shaped symbol or shield, as the makers mark. I have spent a dozen hours (off and on) looking for this over the last couple years, but have never found a very detailed "Made in Italy" bottle glass information source.

For reference, I have included a few pictures of the Cathedral styled bottle, along with shots of the maker's mark and "Made in Italy" stamp.

Any assistance with direction towards additional information or identification would be greatly appreciated.

-Vaughn

Very unusual but I would be surprised if it was Murano. It looks as if it is mould blown to me.

Someone here will know something about this oddity.
Clean and Crisp a Murano twist.
Archimede tops my list.

Lots of novelty bottles were made in Italy. It would help if we could work out what it was supposed to be.
Ardy this page is for all Italian glass not just Murano

Hi Vaughn, and welcome to the board.

I think it's the Mole Antonelliana - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mole_Antonelliana

Photo here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mole_Antonelliana#/media/File:Mole_Antonelliana_from_Piazza_Statuto.jpg

Another one for sale on ebay Italy here with contents.

Bruni Glass in Italy make a Mole Antonelliana bottle but the neck is different, the Bruni one is found with various liqueurs in it, e.g.  Ballesio cioccolato di Ballesio Luca and Turin Chocolat

To all of you and especially Anne... thanks for your feedback and links to such detailed information. I had hoped one day someone would be able to point me in the right direction.

Best wishes,

-Vaughn
