Hi, the web site great-glass.co.uk helpfully illustrates a number of Tiffany signatures/marks. I have found that two of them also appear in Lesley Jackson's book '20th Century Factory Glass' with the sources fully attributed.
However, does anyone know the source for the first (presumably earliest) signature shown on the web-site which is described as 'diamond point engraved' and shown in the attached photo? (I'm looking for a book source if possible, the age period it relates to and ideally the glass item it is derived from).
I'm looking for information on the signature as specifically shown in the photo, namely with a very straight (rather than curly) capital 'L' and 'T', plus without a numerical reference or the word 'Favrile' following.
(I know someone will suggest contacting the web site owner but it says the site is no longer operational and has been left up for information purposes).
