Well, I promised I'd get to grips with my digital camera (and how to post on the glass gallery) - several hours later, here's my AHW collection, with the information I've managed to glean. Apologies for beginner-level photography, and for all the urls - I couldn't figure out how to turn text into links.

Heidi, doing them this way is just fine... and well done for getting to grips with GlassGallery so quickly. :)
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

Thanks, Anne. I had a few problems when I was practising with an old (scanned) image I happened to have on my computer. But once I started trying with shots from the camera, it was easy - congratulations on a very user-friendly site.

I've seen those clematis ones in charity shops before, and didn't realise they were AHW.   Thanks for showing us your glass - more to search for in future.   :D

I've always stuck my printed glasses in the dishwasher, and thought they were fine, but they're really beginning to fade now - just to warn people!  :(

AHW for either Ravenhead or Sherdley (20th Century Factory Glass (new Edition), Jackson.  I like to find out which factory produced them.

The pattern is called Brevette. Coincidentally, I've just bought a set on e-bay, in Ravenhead packaging I've not come across before: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220095209895

The information comes from Emma, whose collection featured in the Cambridge Glass Fair foyer exhibition Anne linked to above. She's done some research up at Broadfield House and has very kindly identified a number of the designs I have posted on the Glass Queries gallery - http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/thumbnails.php?album=254, if anyone's interested.

I noticed those, so glad you got them - wasn't aware of the importance of the packaging though  :-[

Would Emma be interested in contributing to this forum? At some stage I was intending to photo each pattern at Broadfield, but time has been very limited lately.

Thanks, David. I'll send Emma a link - but I know she's very busy.

The pattern is called Brevette.

Have since seen this pattern illustrated in a 1972 Ravenhead advert which David kindly sent me.

I should have realised that 'maple' was a Ravenhead pattern.  I see them from time to time in charity shops - they must've been pretty popular!  I've been putting some of my Ravenhead glasses in the dishwasher regularly - the transfer doesn't stand up to a lot of washing - some have faded away almost completely.   :-\

Maple also figures in the 1972 ad, but the packaging on the set I have suggests that production must have started earlier than that (mid-/ late 60s).

Fortunately I don't have a dishwasher...   ;)
