Bidda,

The Barbini objects I've seen have bullicante without colored inclusion. They tend to be solid color on the exterior (often pastels), with bullicante and gold dust.  Your lighter has colored inclusions around the bullicante, which I've never seen on a labeled piece of Barbini. That does't mean that they didn't make it, just that it's unusual.  On the other hand, I have seen that kind of blend of bullicante and colored inclusions on Fratelli Toso pieces.

Laura

Laura,

now that I have nearly a year's worth more research under my belt I have to say that I agree with your Toso attribution, based upon the shape. Thank you for your help :)

Bidda
