Hi Bryn,
The signature is Nuutajarvi Notsjo (Finland). Are there any initials before the comapany name or numbers after?
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

Thanks Della,
Have you seen this vase pattern before.   I had not noticed the signiture before i got it home and I was already pleased with the £1 I paid for it.

You lucky thing, you. I think that I will come shopping with you when I get a chance to come over!!
I am just looking through my books, more initials would have helped.

No numbers or initials I'm afraid Della.
I have been scouring the net since your last message and can see the numbered pieces and artist signed pieces can fetch large sums. But must'n't be greedy, I've had a nice find which will certainly get my nose back on the bargain trail early tomorrow morning.
Cheers,

Bryn,
A nice find - the designer is Pertti Santalahti. I think the date of the design would be mid-1960s (he worked there from 1963, I think mainly on a freelance basis). I have seen one with PS on the bottom but usually these seem to have just the factory name.
