Max
I want to thank you for your help earlier and hope you don't think it was a debacle - you are one of the many on here who I am learning from and I REALLY appreciate your time and knowledge.

Aww Flick, thank you. It was another good lesson in 'always check the base', wasn't it? And the message board is all about learning, so it's a good thing overall.
Now if we could just sort out the non-bubble in John's piece...

Perhaps they had run out of bubbles when they made it?
It would be great if anyone could shed any light on this though ~ I'm just about to write up my eBay description for it, but may hold back a while just in case someone has an answer! John.
PS And I second flick's comments and agree with yours, about the help and learning, Max.

Ivo, thank you for solving that puzzle. I'd looked in your fact file but couldn't find Hoymantort (the eBay listings I'd found were spelled like that) and I'd browsed the Ho...s and couldn't find a likely candidate so hoped you'd pick this up.

Hi David,
Aseda made several similarly shaped vases without the bubble. There are some shown on Vidfletch's photo album.
