Paperweight ID help
« on: September 25, 2021, 12:46:41 AM »
Hello,

I would appreciate any help with identifying this paperweight and any other pertinent information that others may have. It weighs 1lb and is 2 3/4" wide and approximately 2" tall. Thank you in advance.

Greg

Hi and welcome.  :)
Somebody will definitely know what this is, it looks familar and I have a couple of suspicions, but I am not really sure, this isn't my area. It is a good one.  8)
I am concerned that you have used your email address as your username. You could get harvested by spambots if it is displayed like this. Can we ask you to change it?
I'll write a message to a moderator about it and they will do something to help you.
This is for your own protection, not to be difficult. Don't worry about it.  :)
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

The moderators, like the rest of us, are just ordinary folk giving of their time and knowledge, it might not be immediate. But you can contact one yourself if you run into trouble. There are little buttons for "Report to moderator" on each post at the bottom right, but you can't always report yourself, and there are time restrictions of an hour for modifying anything yourself. But you could use the report button on my post and report me instead, to get the attention in the correct thread.  ;D
I'm waiting to see what somebody else says about your weight, to test my own two vague suspicions to see if I might be right.  8)

Hi
Your paperweight is definitely a Murano weight, but it's not always easy to say which factory, the daisy style centre cane and cog style canes could well point to Fratelli Toso though.

I would say it was 1960s to 70's.

Nick

Agreed Fratelli Toso looks favourite.

Hello Greg, I've fixed the problem of your email address being displayed for you. You can still use it to login with as before, but it won't show the address on the board, just a username.  Do ask for help if you get stuck with anything on the board.
