It is not unusual for a digital camera to pick up etched marks that are barely seen with the naked eye.

I have found several pieces to be marked only when I was photographing them.  The latest was the Steuben bowl (which I still haven't had times to take better pictures of the mark.)  :roll:

Good luck finding the marks tomorrow.  I love the vase!

I played about with it, with some talc on the base, and it is still not clear, but there is no doubt there is SOMETHING there.  I've put another couple of pics up on the Gallery, one of them I turned negative to see if dark on light would help matters.

It doesn't help that the iridescence has pooled right over the mark it would seem.. :cry:
