Glass tumblers - ID = Sherdley "Clematis" (Ravenhead)
« on: January 23, 2023, 03:53:05 PM »
Hi.  Hoping someone might be able to help.  I found a set of 6 unboxed tumblers and initially thought the design could be one of Alexander Hardie Williamson but the tumblers each measure 4.75 inches tall - according to my books Ravenhead tumblers of a similar shape (the Conicals) where only 4.5 inches.  No marks so if anyone who could give a pointer I'd be really grateful.  Many thanks.

I have three of these in the same pattern as yours but more turquoise than yours appear. Mine measure 4½" tall, I've always thought mine were probably AHW for Ravenhead but I've not yet found the proof.

Thanks for the reply.  I've remeasured and yes these are 4.5 inches so possibly Alexander Hardie Williamson for Ravenhead.  I've not found the pattern yet though

I've just remembered that Heidi who was researching Ravenhead uploaded images to GlassGallery and she has the same design in various colours as Sherdley/Ravenhead, see here https://www.yobunny.org.uk/glassgallery/displayimage.php?pos=-7295
