Smoked glass bowl, off-centre opening, flower mark to back
« on: September 21, 2006, 09:37:33 PM »
Hello, me again  :D  OK I've got this brilliant bowl - thick, chunky and plenty of wear with a Per Lutken type off-centre/asymmetrical opening and a printed flower type mark to the base (shown in last photo) - any input would be gratefully received.  TIA

I'm reasonably sure the mark is from Skruf, although I've never seen it confirmed in print.

I know Anne - it's weird, I've never seen one before either.  I've had this bowl for over a year and not seen another piece of glass with the same mark.

Cheers Ivo, Skruf you say - well that gives me a direction to go off and start looking at.  If I find anything conclusive I'll report back here.

:-)

Pip, I have seen a couple of items for sale over here, with the same mark.
They were both smoke glass too.

If I can find them again, I will post a link.  :)
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

I'm reasonably sure it was something more akin to Pip's dish. It was probably something I'd spotted on eBay which looked like misrepresented Holmegaard from the thumbnail photo.
