Hi Everyone,
We recently found this jug with a faded gold Lobmeyr mark. It is faceted with the most delicate enamelled flower sprays. The base is polished with oval/egg shaped cuts. The rim is gold gilded and it would not appear that there is a stopper esp. given the spout. I have know idea as to when this would have been made??? Any ideas? Late 19th century, perhaps? Any thoughts are appreciated!

Lobmeyr are still very much in business with a magnificent three storey shop in Vienna. Should you ever get there, check out the top floor museum, it is crammed with elegant glassware like your claret jug - which could have been made @ any time. I'm sure they'll be deligted to answer your question:
