aqua rolling pin - not very big one
« on: October 07, 2006, 03:57:33 PM »
This is rather pretty really, it is aqua glass, about 9 ins long including the handles, and I assume it is a rolling pin?  But the main part is rippled, so I wouldn't think anything would be very smooth, so probably just for display? Or what is it?

again, when and who would be very useful.

I'm assuming there isn't, but is there a hole at the nipple tip?

Nope,  round and smooth.   And obviously designed for a bung of some sort at the other end.
Thank you very much!

At first look, I thought if there were a hole in the nipple-tip, it might be a kind of funnel.

I think it was Leni who pointed out that glass rolling pins are viable items, so they could be filled with cold water.

Just a blokes perspective

yup, or ice, for keeping your pastry nice and cool.

But why would you want a rippled surface to your pastry??
Thank you very much!

I'm not sure it's a rolling pin. If it were, it would have two equal-size handles on either end of the large middle portion, wether or not the middle section was fillable or not. I think it might be something more exotic. Hmmm.
