Topic: Ok, I have a nother piece I don't know what it is...

I really am not sure diving head first into glass was a good idea. (yes, there IS a bad joke in there.)  No - I really like glass.  As I mentioned in the past, I purchase items at auction that come from giant containers.  I purchased another good sized lot last night and it has some recognizable (yeah!!!) Whitefriars (1 taller yellow and one smaller ruby dog bone/jack in the pulpit bud vases.  Very cool bubbles I might add.)  And amongst the larger pieces was this little four inch sort of red, but more orange and black four inch tall cased glass vase.  I could have sworn I read here in the archives last week about something like this, but I can't find it now.  If anyone has time to tell me possible origins, I'd be grateful.

Hi Rhea, just to let you know that the dogbone vases you mention are often mistaken for Whitefriars but are actually by Aseda (Sweden).  It's an extremely common error, you see it all the time on eBay.  They're nice items I've owned a few myself but they're definitely not Whitefriars.

I could have sworn it was at the Whitefriars site that I found the description naming it as a dogbone, but it might have been in the IsItWhitefriars posts and I might have missed the votes for No.
Either way, thanks for the heads up on the Jin the Pulpi vase not being WF and that leads me to... What is the little orangey red vase I posted the picture of???  :wink:
