This is my first posting so I hope this bowl has not been discussed before.

We have just had one come into the Age concern shop so would like to know if it has any value. It is of obvious quality and quite heavy with what looks like a polished pontil and I would guess about 9" across and 6" deep, sorry forgot to measure it. The pattern on the side is of stylized leaves.

Also does anyone know of a site similar to this that deals with china?

Regards  Jan

Sorry I can't help you identify your bowl. Am posting this reply to say that the Glass museum cafe on this site take china queries - if you post a picture in there someone may be able to help identify for you.

Perfectly acceptable place to identifying this piece of glass - sorry, can't help with ID though.

Welcome, Jan H.  :)

A view of the polished pontil and the base may help. Also, a view from above may help someone to identify the pattern.

To all who replied many thanks.

The bowl is now up for sale at £4 as we rely on a quick turnover due to lack of space.
