Hi, unfortunately this site is only in Finnish (and I don't speak Finnish). What kind of site is this? Who can tell me more? It seems that you have to register.

Thank you in advance!

It appears to be a book about Finnish Glass and details of values etc....

Despite having a Finnish Stepmother, I don't speak Finnish, but I do speak Googleish!

Many of us have bought the designlasin book from that site. It is in Finnish but has an English vocabulary list so thst you can determine the colours etc. Highly recommended for Finnish glass lovers. If you buy it from the site it will pop through your door within a week. If you put Designlasin in the search box on this page there is a thread with the link to the page in English to buy.

Thank you both for your help. In the meantime I have been in contact with the person responsible for this site and he speaks English very well (like the most Finnish people). Up to now, I didn't make the link with the catalog 'Designlasin hintakirja' that I already have in my possession.

Regards,
Sita

Thanks Sita for the link!  I hadn't come accross this website before - I think it is pretty new.  It is free to use but apparently you will be able to see more information on the items if you register (free).  Obviously it helps if you read Finnish but the registration (rekisteröinti/rekisteröidy) is quite simple; they just ask your
- first name
- surname
- e-mail address
- user-id
- password x 2

Thank you too for the translation. I'm rather new on this forum and it's already one of my favorite activities. I just love the interchange of knowledge, information etcetera!

Hello

I also visited that site and first I thought Wonderful site...
And then some of the pictures looked very familiar. They were pictures
that I have taken from vases or glasses that I have.

And on top of that person who did that site put they
"stamp" on pictures that I took.

I sent their admin an e-mail and asked them to take my pictures
away, time will tell if thay will do that.

Do you think I'm unreasonable?

I also have my own website www.marikan-maljakot.com
(Marika's Vases) and those pictures were taken from there.

Please tell me do you think I'm right or am I reacting too strongly?

Marika

Hello Marika,

No, you are not being unreasonable. You have every right to ask to have your photo's removed.
I would be furious with them!

If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.
