Flygsfors Coquille Range???
« on: October 24, 2006, 02:22:37 AM »
Hello I have this bowl which I know is Scandinavian as it originally had the sticker on it which my little girl unfortunately removed when she washed it.  I do remember the sticker saying Sweden but can't remember what else was on the sticker.  I am thinking it is perhaps Flygsfors and wondering if it is part of the Coquille range and would like confirmation as to whether this is the case.  If it is not Flygsfors I would like to know which other Swedish glass maker it could be.  Any help would be appreciated thank you.

In my experience Flygsfors cocquille pieces are always signed both with the factory name and also with cocquille to the base and also often carry the year as well. The earlier pieces carry the factory name and also Kedelv to the base, Paul Kedelv being the designer.
I would suggest your piece is most likely by Paul Kedelv, but not by Flygsfors, but from his time at Reijmyre when not everything was signed and much carried just paper labels, so probably a good starting point for you to research further.

Looks very much like Kedelv's Coquille series, style, colors etc., but as stated by others most Coquille's from Flygsfors have at least the Flygsfors + Coquille signature.
