Italy has a major glass industry - aside from the work being done on Murano. There is a terrific website for art and utility glass being made in Italy. The site also covers other industrial manufacturing and artistic creativity in Italy as well (such as ceramics, textiles, etc.).

The first link is the home page. The second link is glass specific. The third link is Murano specific with a list of the glassmakers on the island and an English-language option.
