Signed stem vase - Can anyone ID?
« on: November 12, 2006, 06:19:32 PM »
Hello,
Please take a look at this little vase. It has a nice quality to the glass and is quite thick. I've tried to research the mark but have infuriatingly come up with nothing. It measures just under 8" and the base is 2" thick.
The sig looks something like 'malley' and underneath that '8CE' ???
Incedentally it has some grub right down in the base that i cannot get out. Does anyone have any tips for dislodging this stuff in akward spaces. I've tried soaking. I've also tried a pipe cleaner but to no avail!
Many thanks for taking a look and hopefully you can be of help.

Sorry can't help with the vase, but on the "grub".....try a long wooden kebab skewer, may need to wrap and tie on a small wad of cotton material and wriggle it around.  It works for me!  It's got more Ooomph than a pipe cleaner.  Emmi
