Help please for Blue Vase - ID = Schrotter "Lens" Vase
« on: November 12, 2006, 05:18:00 PM »
Hi,
I bought this blue glass vase a few months ago and wondered if anyone knew what it was...if it is of worth or just a cheap vase?! (though I love it!). It is heavy and quite thick and measures approx 15cm high and 7cm across.
Thank you!

Hi,

Quote from: Le Casson
Rudolf Schrötter's "Lens" vase.
In the 1962 exhibition catalogue "Lisovane Sklo" at UPM, Prague in 1962, was a vase described as "four-sided vase with raised, oval lens to each side. Design date 1955, Rosice." Catalogue number 125.
A second piece of information has given the pattern number for these, Rosice pattern number 914/150 and 914/200.

 :D
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.
