Textured Bowl with blue Prunts
« on: November 16, 2006, 02:37:42 AM »
I posted this on the Glass Message Board but so far no one can help with a maker or date.I have spent days  looking everywhere I can think of, been through all my book references and still have no idea.  I am hoping that some of the Murano specialists may have an idea.
Is it old or new, trash or treasure?
Outside surface is textured. Not sure whether it has been sandblasted or had an acid treatment.
It measures 3 inhes high and 6 inches across the top.
Thanks to anyone that can help or at least lead me in the right direction to further research or even help me in identifying the method  of the texture  finish, how it was done.

This group of pics may be too dark.I took them on a black background, but it does include one of the base

Srface looks to have a scavo type finish, almost bordering on corroso. Check out the earlier discussions on scavo on this board which may prove helpful as there seems an awful lot appearing recently on the market, though the prunts on this make it stand out.
