Pretty bird - Venizia A Limone - any info?
« on: December 03, 2006, 12:10:11 PM »
Lovely little bird, this one has a clear label with rather rubbed gilt printing that seems to say Venezia A Limone Mone s/G

Anyone have any info on this maker?  I can't find anything from googling Limone (other than lots of sorbets.... )

http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-4287 the label

http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-4286 the bird

Thanks!
Thank you very much!

Probably doesn't help but Limone is a place up on Lake Garda so that may be a retailers label. Just a thought.

Hi Paul, yes that did google up for me, but Lake Garda is rather a long way from Venice, and the label is clear at the top Venezia, so I discounted it .  But as you say, if it is a retailer's label rather than a manufacturer's that might make sense.

Don't suppose you have any idea on the sig on the dolphin do you?
Thank you very much!
