Help Identify please?
« on: December 24, 2006, 05:28:58 PM »
:) Hi there, can anyone help me identify this vase please, it weighs around 1.5 kg is hand blown, it came from someone whom was collecting 1960's glass so I assume its from that era. Any ideas and help would be most appreciated, not sure if you can see in the pics but there is some what looks like gold bits.
 :)

A photograph of the bottom would be helpful.

It looks like contemporary Chinese glass. Compare to this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300063310300

ebay item 300063310300

What an AWFUL listing.... how big is it?  1 inch high, 15 inches high????
No details just terrible colours and messy format.

Did you get it that I don't like the template????>:( >:(
Thank you very much!

Lynne, if you mean the link that Laura gave, I believe the item is 11" high and 5" wide.  There's a size chart there.  :) :) Edit:  Maybe the auction was updated?

Oh yes, I see it now, but why would I be looking for it in amongst the side bar with shipping info?  The single line of information about the glass is hidden in a skinny line at the top, then all the bright lights start.  Yes, the pics are good, and it is a nice vase if that is what you are looking for, but as a buyer I just wouldn't find out what I need to know easily there.  The sort of thing that makes me move straight away.

But maybe I'm just picky... ::)
Thank you very much!

sorry Cazza, didn't mean to highjack your thread.... I am afraid I don't know about your vase, but Laura's linked one certainly looks like it.

Thank you very much!
